For a lot of Missoulians, this building isn't just another restaurant; it's where first dates happened, homework got finished, lifelong friendships were built, and countless cups of coffee were shared while watching Rattlesnake Creek.

A Gathering Place for Lifelong Memories

If you spent time in Missoula during high school or college, there's a good chance you found yourself at Finnegan’s or, later, at 4B’s, sipping coffee for hours while overlooking Rattlesnake Creek. It was one of those rare places where conversations seemed to last forever, homework got done (sometimes), and watching the creek became part of the experience.

I know that's how it was for me.

The Charming Atmosphere of Rattlesnake Creek

I spent countless hours there with friends, probably drinking way too much coffee and definitely not leaving the kind of tip a broke high school or college student should have. When I wasn't there with friends, I'd often sit by myself and watch the water flow beneath the restaurant. There was something relaxing about that view that made it unlike anywhere else in Missoula.

Now, that iconic space is getting a fresh start.

A Fresh Perspective on Organic Dining

After more than a year of anticipation, Suzette's Organics has officially begun its soft opening this week.

If the name sounds familiar, it's because Suzette's Organics has already built a loyal following with its location in Hamilton. Now they're bringing that same focus on fresh, organic food to one of Missoula's most recognizable restaurant locations.

For now, the restaurant is operating with a limited breakfast menu and takeout service only while the staff works through the final details before a full opening.

Community Excitement for a Revitalized Location

Seeing this building come back to life is exciting for many longtime Missoula residents.

The location has been empty long enough that many wondered what would eventually happen to it. Thankfully, it isn't sitting vacant anymore, and one of the city's most recognizable restaurant spaces is once again serving food.

If you're looking to try a new breakfast spot, now’s your chance to give Suzette’s Organics a try. Keep in mind it's still a soft opening, so the menu is limited and they're offering takeout only while they fine-tune operations.

You can also follow Suzette's Organics online for updates on expanded hours, menu additions, and whether they'll be holding an official grand opening celebration.

I'm happy to see this old Missoula landmark getting a new life. So many of us have memories tied to this building, and hopefully Suzette's Organics will create a whole new generation of memories there, just like 4B’s and Finnegan's did for so many of us.
