We reported on the carnival accident that took place in the Butte Civic Center parking lot back on June 7th that injured a 13 year old boy after he feel from a popular carnival ride.

A sad update to report, we now know that the boy has died from his injuries.

According to multiple media sources, the teen was in a Kalispell hospital and passed away from the injuries he sustained from the accident on Sunday evening. The name of the teen is not being released at this time.

Is there new information available?

According to the original police reports, police, fire and rescue, and ambulance responded to the call that came in at 3:09. The ride in question was shut down and cordoned off and as a precaution, the rest of the carnival rides were shut down as well.

Butte-Silver Bow Law Enforcement did release a statement concerning the tragedy and you can read part of that statement below:

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing. Additional information will be released as it becomes available. Our thoughts and prayers are with the boy's family and loved ones, as well as all those affected by this tragic loss.

When these incidents happen, there really are no words. In the end, a 13 year old has lost his life and his family has lost a son, brother, cousin, etc.
