If you are planning a trip to Glacier National Park in 2025, there are some things you need to know.

As the crowds to the Park increase, things like infrastructure become a much bigger deal. For this reason and others, the water systems, roads, and parking lots are scheduled for an overhaul.
Which area of Glacier National Park will be closed?
The construction zone of Many Glacier Valley in Glacier National Park will be closed to all "vehicles, bikes, and foot traffic through mid-May 2026." So what does that mean? Well, it means if you are planning on spending time in that area over the next year or so you might want to make other plans.
While the construction area will be closed, that doesn't mean some of the popular sites won't be open. According to The Weather Channel, there will be restrictions when it comes to certain areas.
"In 2025, the Many Glacier Hotel, Swan Mountain Outfitters and Glacier Boat Company will operate as usual but with limited parking availability due to the ongoing construction. Swiftcurrent Motor Inn, Many Glacier Campground, and trailhead parking at the Swiftcurrent end of the valley will be closed for the 2025 season."
So if you're one of those lucky folks who have reservations at the Many Glacier Hotel for the summer of 2025, the good news is you still have your room. The bad news is, parking might be hard to come by.
What about hiking trails in the area? Are they still open?
The answer is yes, however, some of those trails will require longer distances due to the lack of parking. According to officials, the only parking lot in the area that will remain open is the parking lot at Many Glacier Hotel.
So while it might be a little inconvenient for those with 2025 plans, there is still much to do and see and any day at Glacier National Park is a good day.
