Montana Chef Competes On Popular Food Network Show
If you're anything like me, chances are you spend a decent amount of time watching either HGTV or the Food Network. Both are popular in our house because I learned long ago, "Happy Wife, Happy Life".
One of the shows that we enjoy is Throw Down With Bobby Flay.
If you've never watched the show, it's a competition between two Chefs who compete against each other using an ingredient picked by Flay. The winner of the first round gets to challenge Bobby Flay with the recipe of their choice.
The show is on like its 30th season and it just so happens that a Montana Chef recently competed on the program. Chef Earl Reynolds from Whitefish represented Montana on the national stage not only competing on the show but taking on Flay himself.
Reynolds is the Executive Chef at the Herb and Omni which is located in Whitefish. The restaurant has an impressive menu, with dishes such as Foie Gras Pie, Confit Duck Poutine, and Bison Tartare.
SPOILER ALERT: How did the Montana Chef do?
Good news! Not only did Chef Reynolds make it past the first round to take on Flay, but he also defeated the Iron Chef. Reynolds mentioned it was quite the honor to compete against someone he has admired for so long.
This is quite the accomplishment for the Montana native and James Beard nominee. I won't give away what dish Reynolds beat Flay with, but for those who are curious, you can watch the episode on the Food Network or the Discovery Plus app.
