Montana Congressman Sums Up Trump’s First Month In Office
Montana Congressman Ryan Zinke summed up Trump's first month in office. And, Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen praises Trump for halting the absurd BOI reporting requirements.
With about a minute left to go on the radio Monday morning, I told Congressman Zinke (R-MT01) how I feel like Donald Trump is that new boss who comes in and says, okay, guys, what do we need to do to make this company better? What can we do to support you? What can we do to help get the job done? I feel like that's the kind of boss who Trump is right now.
Here's how Zinke summed up Trump's first month or so in office as the 47th President of the United States:
Rep. Zinke: "It's interesting. You roll back the tape in just the 33 days or so he's been in office. You know, what's occurred? You have 10,000 Mexican troops patrolling the southern border. You have the Royal Mounties patrolling the northern border. Venezuela will take back 300,000 (illegal aliens), El Salvador will take back anyone we send them (illegal aliens). China is out of the Panama Canal. Yes, we are negotiating for Greenland. The war in Ukraine hopefully will come to an end. And never in my wildest dreams would you ever think about, you know, Gaza golf course and resort. And if you don't think it's real...Google Gulf of America- this is real, folks."

Meanwhile, Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen is praising President Trump for halting the absurd BOI requirement under FINCEN.
Gina Stevens is an accountant in Hardin who sits on the state tax committee for the Montana Farm Bureau. She alerted famers and ranchers about the new BOI form requirement under FINCEN last Fall during the Montana Farm Bureau Convention (I wrote about it here). The Biden-era federal requirement didn't just apply to farmers and ranchers, but to anyone who has an LLC for their business. If you didn't file the form with the feds, you could have faced a $500 per day fine no matter how small your business is.
Secretary of State Jacobsen sent out a press release Monday noting that "days after Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen and colleagues across the nation urged President Trump to repeal confusing and burdensome small business regulations, the President announced he is suspending the enforcement of the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) and its Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) reporting requirements."
"On behalf of the hundreds of thousands of small businesses in Montana, I appreciate that President Trump removed this burdensome mandate," said Secretary Jacobsen. "This Biden Administration imposition was an absolute disaster that forced unwarranted regulations and severe penalties on the small businesses that are the backbone of our communities. I'm glad that the federal government under President Trump has followed our lead to eliminate unnecessary government obstacles."
