Let's put this phony talking point to bed once and for all, deporting illegal aliens is NOT racist.

I enjoy reading the comments on the various social media sites for our radio stations and news outlets across Montana. Your app messages are great as well. It's always good to get your feedback and to hear different perspectives.

But sometimes you just have to shake your head at some of the comments. One commenter asked why I keep reporting on the illegal aliens in our jails, members of the violent Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua getting busted in Montana, and Mexican drug cartels targeting Native Americans? Because it is a big deal. These people are in our country targeting American citizens, and they're not even supposed to be here.

And then is the one that really gets the eye roll- "you're racist!" (That same commenter then blamed all the crime in Montana on "whites and natives." I know- that's rich, isn't it?)

That's right, it's like the song in the Lego movie again, but instead of "everything is awesome," it's "everything is racist."

This myth needs to be put to bed; though, once and for all.

Why did President Trump score such a big victory in 2024? The Hispanic vote.

Here's a Reuters headline: "Trump's return to power fueled by Hispanic, working-class voter support"

Here's another from Newsweek: Gains Among Black, Hispanic Voters Boosted Trump

Even the left-wing UK Guardian marveled at the fact that Trump won big "in the previously solid blue, Hispanic-majority county of Miami-Dade that had not been won by a Republican presidential candidate in more than 30 years."

What about here in Montana?

This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, but LEGAL immigrants despise the fact that other folks jump in line and come here illegally. Plus, think about it this way- you did it the right way, you came here legally, and now the crime you escaped from your previous country is following you here because of illegal immigration?

Plus, we have some great members of the Hispanic community here in Montana.

As a funny side note- it's worth pointing out that John Jackson (the Joker from X) and I have joked before: we're the bouncers. The bar is full. One in, one out. Let's take the woke white Leftists that always talk about how bad this country is and send them to one of these Socialist countries. The Hispanic community is by and large pro faith, pro family, and very entrepreneurial- another reason they rejected the Democrats in 2024.
