"If I'm the problem, you might be the reason."

We don't know who is at fault for the crash, but the Billings Gazette's Larry Mayer snagged a photo of a truck promoting country music star Morgan Wallen's tour near Laurel, Montana. Hopefully everyone is ok and has a quick recovery.

According to the Gazette, the vehicles "collided at Buffalo Trail and Lipp Road" which is "the location of the monument to the 1877 Canyon Creek battle between Chief Joseph and U.S. cavalry troops."

How many people live in the area and have never visited that monument or knew it was there?

According to the National Park Service, "Canyon Creek is the location of the second-to-last battle of the Nez Perce Flight of 1877. After emerging from Yellowstone National Park, the Nez Perce were pursued by the Seventh U.S. Cavalry under Samuel Sturgis. In a rearguard action, the Nez Perce were able to gain time by successfully stopping the pursuing troops at Canyon Creek on September 13th."

The Canyon Creek Battlefield and Interpretive Site is located on Buffalo Trail Road 8 miles north of Laurel, Montana. I always remember Chief Joseph from my 3rd grade Montana history class and his "I will fight no more forever" speech.

Apparently The Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center in Laurel also has a statue of Chief Joseph with a plaque that mentions the “Battle Of Canyon Creek.”

To learn more from there, the National Park Service encourages you to head another 300 miles West to the Big Hole National Battlefield's visitor center.
