Mine it here. Drill it here. Farm it here. Log it here. It's time to rebuild Montana's industrial base.

Earlier this week, I just threw up a story about how we should "Make Snowmobiling in Yellowstone Great Again." I was talking with some friends about how cool it was back in the day when everyday Montanans could just drive through the park with a snowmobile.

What else do we need to do to "Make Montana Great Again?" Part of that answer, of course, is to rebuild our industrial base, to rebuild our timber industry, and to make our forests healthier and less prone to devastating wildfires.

Some initial good news on that front...President Trump just signed a new executive order over the weekend for "immediate expansion of American timber production."

Montana Senator Steve Daines (R-MT) had this response:

Thank you President Trump for slashing bureaucratic red tape and expanding America’s timber production. From now on we’ll be able to manage our forests more effectively, reduce the risk of wildfires, and support Montana jobs across our timber industry.

Fox Business had this rundown of the order: "Trump issues executive orders addressing lumber production, national security concerns"

This is all got me thinking- I feel like Donald Trump is that new boss who comes in and says, okay, guys, what do we need to do to make this company better? What can we do to support you? What can we do to help get the job done? And now you start dreaming big. Oh, we could do this. We could get this done. We could get that done. I feel like that's the kind of boss who Trump is right now. So, you tell me: what are some of the big things we as Montanans could be asking for right now to Make Montana Great Again?
