If you are a Montana parent or grandparent, you might want to take a moment and check out your kid or grandkid's toy box.

A popular toy set sold here in Montana was discovered to have dangerous resin on the product that could be harmful to those who come in contact with the material. This resulted in a massive recall of over 21 million items from all 50 states, including Montana.

A statement was released by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission detailing the dangers of the product and the results it can have on children.

Which products are being recalled?

In the press release from the USCPS, they stated the following regarding the recall:

"This recall involves Miniverse Make It Mini Sets with unused liquid resins. These sets include “Make It Mini Appliances,” all models and series of “Make It Mini Food,” and “Make It Mini Lifestyle.”

In the statement, it says that it "can cause skin, eye, and respiratory irritation or sensitization when inhaled, touched, or ingested by children or adults".  The reason behind that is that the resin contains "acrylates (hydroxyethyl methacrylate “HEMA” and isobornyl acrylate “IBOA”) in amounts prohibited in children’s products by the Federal Hazardous Substances Act."

The toy sets can be found in retailers such as Target, Walmart, Hobby Lobby, Family Dollar, Dollar General, and other stores nationwide including Amazon. The company is offering a refund or replacement for the toys. Either way, people should stop using the product and contact MGA Entertainment for information on how to get a pre-paid label.

You can contact MGA Entertainment by calling their toll-free number at 800-222-4685 or by going to the MGA website.
